After a few weeks of negotiation, my daughter Miria and I hired a trailer, borrowed my dad’s car and headed to Taupo to pick up the fiat.
I decided to take dad’s car as it was more comfortable than my truck with its mud tyres and the V8 engine towed really well (turned out the trailer I hired had just passed a warrant despite having no brake fluid … the falcon though handled it well).
We left early on a Sunday morning from Wellington, got to Taupo about 10am, took a few hours to load and was home by dinner time.
Note all the spares crammed on the trailer including the spare Croma turbo motor.
I’ll post a photo in the next day or so.
